Chris "The Shmigga" - 25psi

Known as "The Mad Scientist", Co-leader and Mastermind of the Boosted Fools, Chris knows what owning you is all about. Thats because he does it all the time in his 89 Shelby Daytona. It isn't no ordinary Shelby. With the engine being top secret, all we can say is "That turbo is huge". With 20 pounds of boost, and that "Huge" turbo this is the car to watch out for. With the magic 400+ number in mind, this car will munch mustangsfor lunch and eat V8's for dinner. Oh yeah and whats a Honda??

Nick - Neon Nick

Nick is a long time member and site developer for the Boosted Fools. He's running with his 2004 Dodge Neon SRT-4 and he's not messing around. 2009 will be his first full racing season at Atlanta Dragway and he's expecting big wins! Watch him tear it up at the track and maybe even see him cruising down I-85 as he uses his SRT-4 for his daily driver as well. When he's not in his SRT he will be in his Turbo-Charged 1995 Dodge Neon with a custom turbo setup. You might say it's a "double whammy" if you happen to cross his path! Jeff - JeffSrt

Jeff bought his 2003 SRT-4 in February of 06. The first mod was the all important BOV (Blow-Off Valve)! Seriously it was but that was only because he had found a set of hard pipes with the BOV for a good price. He continued to modify the car with solid motor mounts, mopar stage 1 kit and mopar lowering springs. Along with a LSD equiped transmission from a 2004 SRT-4 That was it for the racing season that year. It ran low 9's at Lancaster, NY (1/8 mi.).
The mods continued with a 3 inch 02 housing, 3 inch downpipe hooked to the mopar 2.5inch exhaust system. The Car is starting to sound good now! This put the car in the upper 13 second time range (1/4 mi.). At that time he was using the azenis tires which really aren't the best drag tires.
That winter he got really got serious with a direct fit intercooler, 55mm throttle body and adapter plate allowing air to flow into a ported intake. By this time he also had an AGP adjustable wastegate actuator and a map clamp. He made sure that the A/F ratio was OK with an innovate wideband. That was about it for the mods but he bought a set of drag radials which was one of the best things to buy. That season it ran in the 13.3-13.1 range. At that point Jeff decided to go old school with the Duster. Its a 71 model year with a 340 engine. No boost... Click here for more pictures of Jeff's car.
Steve - Mopar4Life

Steve's car started out as a white stock Neon, but that didn't last for very long, he repainted it Intense Blue. The car has seen a lot of modifications from a mild n/a engine to a built big cam 2.4 and then finally ended up with the low compression turbo 2.4, which was installed by the mad scientist himself (The Shmigga). The car has a stock SRT-4 turbo set up with a 3" exhaust. Best E.T. to date: 13.35 @ 104 MPH on drag radials. Click here for more pictures of Steve's car.
P.J. - boostedfool

When P.J. bought the car it had a cracked cylinder head, which is a common problem for the T3 engine. He sent out the head to Lonewolf Performance who welded up the head and refinished it. He also purchased a stage 1 camshaft from them. When Chris and P.J. took the engine apart to take the head off they decided to look at the bottom end while they had it apart. It did not look good, the bearings were pretty worn. They decided that a full rebuild was in order. The engine was rebuilt with new forged Venolia pistons and all ARP hardware. While the engine was out P.J. decided to upgrade to a more heavy duty clutch. Since the engine has been rebuilt a TurboXS blow off valve with hard pipes hooked up to a massive front mount intercooler was added. The car also now has a 3 inch downpipe and a full 3 inch exhaust with a side exit right before the wheel on the drivers side. Many thanks to Chris who made all of these mods possible. Future plans include updating the stock suspension, upgrading the turbo, and turning up the boost!
P.J. doesn't mess around and you'll know it when you see him cruising the town in his 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT-8. The Challenger was purchased in February 2009 and sits in the garage during the winter time. Future mods will include a cold air intake and a larger exhaust. Click here for more pictures of PJ's car.
